The Bake House Interior

Stonesfield is a village of historic interest renowned for the mining of roofing tiles ‘Stonesfield Slates’ and for the Roman Villa with its unusual mosaic floor, a twenty minute walk away through beautiful countryside. The Old Bakehouse was the village Bakery until the 1970s and is a delightful grade II listed Cotswold stone building with the entrance opening into a hall which was once the site of the oven. It retains its original features of flagstone floors on the ground floor, wooden floor boards above, lovely old timbers and the stunning cast iron oven door.
